There's purpose in each image. Portraits start conversations, product photos create desire.

FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know? How long is the shoot expected to last?

What does it mean to be "Photo Ready"?

What if I need to reschedule?

May I see my RAW photos?

Can I do a photoshoot from within my home?

Bring what feels like you—your energy, your story, your outfits. We’ll discuss any ideas or intentions beforehand, but the most important thing is to show up as yourself! Additionally, sessions vary depending on the story we’re telling—most are 1–2 hours, but we’ll discuss timing based on your goals.

Being photo-ready means arriving prepared so we can make the most of your session time. This includes wearing clean, wrinkle-free clothing, having hair and makeup finished (if applicable), and bringing any outfits or props you’d like to use. Small details matter on camera—this includes things like lint, pet hair, wrinkles, or stains, which can be very noticeable in high-resolution images. Taking a few extra minutes to check your appearance beforehand helps ensure your final photos look polished and professional.

I understand that life happens! Rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Requests made within 24 hours will not be approved unless there is an emergency or extenuating circumstance, which must be communicated as soon as possible

.

Clients are allowed up to two reschedules. After that, a new booking will be required. If a session is missed or canceled without proper notice, you may rebook once at no additional charge within two months of the original date, based on availability.

Please note that sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without notice, your session may be canceled and payments may be forfeited. Late arrivals do not guarantee extended session time.

In rare cases, I may need to reschedule due to illness, unsafe weather, or unforeseen circumstances. If that happens, your retainer will be transferred to a new date.

For full details, please refer to your signed contract.

RAW images are unedited, unfinished files and are not part of the final delivered gallery. My editing process is a key part of my artistic style and the overall experience I provide. For this reason, only fully edited, high-quality images are delivered to clients.

Yes, at-home sessions are absolutely an option! Select the standard portrait session and let me know your plan when we discuss location details. In-home shoots can create a comfortable, personal atmosphere and are great for lifestyle photography. To get the best results, I recommend choosing spaces with good natural lighting and minimal clutter. We can also discuss your space ahead of time to make sure it’s a good fit for your vision.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

Travel expenses are not included in my base packages. Sessions requiring travel beyond 50 miles from Raleigh will include an additional travel fee, which I’ll provide upfront.

Can you recommend any good locations?

I can recommend locations, but the most powerful images come from places that matter to you. We’ll collaborate to find the right setting.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

For outdoor sessions, we’ll reschedule if the weather isn’t ideal to ensure the best light and conditions. Indoor sessions proceed as planned, unless travel in severe weather is required—in which case, we’ll reschedule for safety. I’ll always coordinate with you in advance to keep your session smooth.
